Description

4 Days Tour From Fes To Marrakech via Sahara desert allow you to have a real desert endurance ride on camels and spend the night in a traditional Berber camp, and to explore the most fascinating Morocco’s site such as Ifrane, Ceder forest in Azrou, Ziz valley, Gorges, Ait Ben haddou Kasbahs, Atlas mountains and much more exiting Morocco amzing site.

Itinerary

Start in the morning, around 8 am, you’ll start travelling southeast to Merzouga via Azrou and Errachidia. Your first stop will be at Ifran, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”, and then to Merzouga via Midlet and the Ziz Valley.

During this journey, you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and the High  Atlas mountains. Stopping at the famous cedar forest – the largest in Morocco – where you may well sight Barbarian apes. You’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Er Rachidia. After lunch, your journey continues along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way.

We will drive through welcoming Berber villages to Rissani, the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty – the current ruling royal family in Morocco. Arriving in Merzouga at the end of the day, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you check in to your riad. After relaxing few minutes in Merzouga, we go to the camels who are waiting to take us on an adventure in the dunes. We will spend the night in an equipped camp with drum music in the middle of the Sahara, we go to high dunes to see the sunset, and we will spend the night in nomad tents.

Today, you are going to experience one of the most memorable moments of your Morocco Sahara adventure as you make your way into the dunes of Morocco’s Erg Chebbi region of the Sahara Desert, the largest dunes in the desert of Morocco.

You’ll have this morning to explore Merzouga before preparing for a memorable night under the stars. We will visit the Gnawa people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, to experience their music and lifestyle. Enjoy the panoramic view behind the Erg Chebbi of dunes. Afterward, we will head to the nomads’ families in their tents at Kem Kem and have tea with them, and you will absolutely discover a new sense of life.

And why not an hour ATV Quad biking in the dunes? In the afternoon, meet your camel, trek through the desert, over the red dunes, until all you see is sand and sky, and the quiet is only broken by the occasional snort of the camels and the soft sound of their steps on the sand. Stop to watch the sunset along the way, and arrive at your camp, where you will be welcomed with mint tea and cookies.

After some time to admire the dunes and the surrounding landscapes, get ready for a Moroccan dinner served under the stars next to the campfire. After dinner, you will gather around the fire to admire a typical Berber music performed using drums under the sky full of stars.

The day will start by waking up early to see the spectacle of sunrise, when the color of the dunes combines with the play of shadows to make an awesome view. Then ride the camels back to meet your guide/driver and start your day with him by Rissani, where one of the main traditional markets existed, which was in the past a station for trade caravans.

In addition, that town was the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty – the current ruling royal family- in Morocco. The road passes through Erfoud, the land of fossils, and that would be an opportunity to see one of the many fossil mines (if you are interested).

Continuing the way via Berber villages of Tinjdad to reach Todgha gorges, a series of limestone river canyons, this stunning area affords opportunities to walk and enjoy deep cliff-sided canyons. The night will be in Boumalne Dades in a nice hotel.

Take your breakfast, and ride over the Dades Gorges before starting to drive to Marrakesh. We’ll be driving through the thousand Kasbahs route to Ouarzazate, and then continue to see the Rose Valley situated at Kelaat M’gouna, where pure cosmetic products, such as rosewater, are produced from the roses.

Lunch will be at Ait Ben Haddou, which is a well-known castle that belonged to the Glaoui Pasha. A discovering visit to the Kasbah followed by a drive toward the pass Tichka and the Atlas Mountains to end the tour at Marrakesh. End Tour: 4 Days Morocco Tour Fes to Marrakech
